I don't see steam boilers very often, but what's up with the color of the water? And the color of the license plate, for that matter.

Steam boiler that the owner put prestone or some such antifreeze in. He took it from the radiator of the car he scrapped to get the license plate.

They will probably need the antifreeze. When I got there, the water level was below the bottom of the glass gauge, and the place is vacant. So obviously, the LWC is clogged and not doing its job.

This multi-family will be a group homes for retarded persons. The whole system will be replaced with a hot water boiler system.

And the contractor left his license behind!

This is a steam system. My concern, in a steam system, would be that some amount of the antifreeze is going to make it out of the system and into the air.
